2018 has been a busy year with lots going on I'd like to thank everyone for their support and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.
This time of the year is very busy for everyone here at Conkwell and also in every National Hunt yard up and down the country. The staff get very little time off to enjoy the festivities as Boxing day and New Years day is always a busy time with meetings and sending out runners. Alongside the day to day running of the yard. We split it so half of our staff have Christmas day off and the other half have New Years day off. I would like to take the time to thank my staff for all their hard work and dedication to the horses and the yard this year. They in turn would like to thank the owners for the many boxes of chocolates and mince pies alongside other gifts that have been given to them, it makes them feel appreciated and helps on those cold wet days.
We have plenty of entries in for boxing day with entries at the moment at Market Rasen, Wetherby, Wincanton, Fontwell, Sedgefield and Huntingdon so it potentially looks like a busy day. Tomorrow see two runners at Ascot, Solighoster ridden by Robbie Dunne and Lough Ryn ridden by Noel Fehily.
