So we have had a lucky few days here at Conkwell, Viz A Viz kept his winning record in tact by winning comfortably by 3 1/2 lengths in the 2 mile handicap at Kempton on the 8th August under Shane Kelly for his owners Westbourne Racing, Eismark and Packham.

The trip to Jersey and Les Landes racecourse proved to be fruitful to, coming home with two wins, two seconds and a fourth from the 5 horses we took over there to run. Racing over there started with Mike Burbidge's,lovely horse Master Burbidge finishing second under Tom Scudamore in the only handicap hurdle race of the day, Masquerade Bling went one better to win her 7f handicap out there comfortably by 3 lengths for Tom Scudamore and her owner Mr Weare, Molliana ran well to finish fourth of 10 in the 1m 1/2f handicap. Vexillum ran really well and finished 2nd in a dead heat in the 1m2f ladies day handicap for owner John Heaney and jockey Paddy Aspell, the trip was rounded off by one of our old timers and Jersey speciallist Mrs Burbidge who comfortably won the 1m4f handicap by 3 1/2 lengths under Phillip Prince for Mike Burbidge, the horses travelled back well and are now enjoying a few easy days and some well deservered time in the paddocks.

Tomorrow see's us with runners at three meetings, Newton Abbot, Worcester and Kempton.
