Mrs Burbidge won the Jersey Champion Hurdle (2m1f) in fine style by a comfortable four lengths, held up before making smooth headway to challenge 3 out going clear at the next and driven clear on the flat by Sam for Mike Burbidge and Dajam Ltd.
Not to be out done Man Of The Sea made it a double out there by winning the Milbrook Handicap Sprint (5 1/2f) by 3/4 length after turning into the straight in 3rd and was driven to lead well inside the final furlong by Sam for Mike Burbidge.
The last 10 days have seen the horses running well with plenty of placings Harbour Force was 2nd at Newton Abbot, Vancouver was 2nd at Uttoxeter, The Wicket Chicken, Vexillum and Masquerade Bling were all 3rd in their races at Perth, Worcester and Chepstow.
This month see the some of the horses beginning to return to work from their summer holidays and roadwork has commenced along with pulling manes trimming and tiding them up so they look like athlete's rather than the laid back chilled out look some have been rocking. They have all done incredibly well out on their holidays and it has been lovely to see them being horses and part of a herd, however it is great to have them back in and looking forward to the season ahead.
