There's been plenty going on this week on the yard in preparation for not only the season ahead but also our annual Owners Day that takes place this Sunday. With the number of horses in training here on the increase, I've had a third horse walker installed as well as new boxes built on the premises and it's great to have a few new faces popping up over the stable doors. A face that wouldn't be new around here though is Pass The Time who I was delighted to see win at Stratford on Saturday though she was perfectly entitled to do so on form. She's now won twice and finished second on her three starts over fences and it's a testament to her versatility as she's won on the flat turf, the flat all-weather as well as over hurdles for us and has been a real flag-bearer for us over the years, also showing up well in the Grade 1 Mares Hurdle at Cheltenham for the last three seasons. Rossetti ran with credit at the same meeting but the ground may have just turned against him late on and the handicapper probably has him where he wants him now. There's not a lot of racing for the rest of this week but we have Chantecler on Saturday at our local track and will likely have a few runners at Worcester on Monday where we have a few entered up. Also have to mention that we are now up to third in the Trainer's Championship and joint first going by number of wins with 29 winners for the season over jumps already.
