18th May No racing today so up to Conkwell with another load of horses to turn out am now learning where all the potholes in the roads are to avoid!

2 runners at Uttoxeter tomorrow night. Magic in Motion is having her 1st run over hurdles, she is a really nice filly and is working very well at home but where ever she finishes she will learn a lot. Barton Felix is out to redeem himself, everyone who rides him at home says what a nice horse he is but he has not been able to transfer that to the racecourse but he has had a nice break and we are running out of excuses for him so hoping he can improve tomorrow

17th May Late night back from Bath yesterday did Novabridge myself at the races but bit upset as didn’t get the Best turned out.

Coronea Lilly runs at Ludlow tonight. It looks a hot enough race for Ludlow at this time of year. The mare is well but we will be going with more hope than confidence.

16th May Busy today I am taking Novabridge to Bath,The trip is probably a bit far for him but he keeps getting balloted out of the 5 furlong races [This is nearly 6] Its Mikes local track so we will have a good noght out. Liz is taking Hobbs Dream to Fontwell. She had a nice confidence booster over hurdles at Exeter and has schooled well at home so hopefully she will run well as the trip will suit her.

15th May Dougie in this morning he schooled Barton Felix, Magic in Motion and The Young Master. All went well.

Wincanton today Adiynara shold run well in the first and Caunay’s race is a very competitve race but he is in good form. It wouldbe nice if one of them could win as only needed a bit of luck yesterday when 2 seconds could have been 2 winners, at least they are running well its just that Beneath is cleverer than us!

14th May Back to business as usual today my parents went home yesterday and Beneath is running at Wolverhampton today where I am going and I am hoping that he will run well and Just Friends is running at Towcester in the seller.

Took another 3 horses up to Conkwell yesterday where we met Helen Cross who knows Conkwell from  when she had horses there with Liz and John and Shiela Baigent who were suitably impressed

12th May Auntie Kiera over on a fleeting visit to see baby Patrick but Uncle Honey not here this time [He will have to wait a little while longer]

Stephen Byrnes came yesterday to see several of the horses London Avenue was one of them and I am just about to go out riding on him so hopefully he will be flying up the gallops.

Not running Magic in Motion today but am running Court Gamble at Warwick

11th May Moving more horses that are out at grass up to Conkwell today.

Court Gamble and Magic in Motion are probably going to run at Warwick tomorrow. Its great that the BHA and the racecourse have got together and put on this fixture. Much appreciated

10th May My job for the day is to keep Patrick awake all day so that he sleeps at night!!

9th May Took the 1st 4 horses up to Conkwell yesterday to turn out in the paddocks and will be taking 4 more today. Grass up to their knees and now it all seems to be getting closer to the move.

Next week I will be running a horse called Just Friends in the colours of the Racing Club which should give everyone a bit of fun. London Avenue’s half brother won a Group 1 at the weekend so lets hope that London can achieve a little bit.

I am almost certainly going to declare Silsula and Meet Me At Dawn at Wincanton tomorrow. It will be Silsula’s first run over fences and she has schooled very well at home so hope that both mares can give Mike some fun tomorrow

8th May At last Patrick Daniel Mulholland has arrived yesterday evening weighing out at 6lb 10oz. Poor Becky was in labour for 40 hours but both Becky and my son Patrick are both fine.

I might have a runner tomorrow but have not yet had a chance to get my head around it so will put up those details later
