Andrew Doyle

Assistant Trainer

Andrew joins us as assistant trainer at the beginning of the 2018/19 season, having been based with Paul Nicholls for six seasons, the last four of which he was pupil assistant at Ditchheat. Andrew has always been around horses and has ridden 32 winners as an amateur in Irish point to points and under rules, he has ridden for Ireland in the Fegentri series.

 Andrew brings a huge amount of racing knowledge to the team, and will be working alongside Neil and the senior staff to ensure the yard runs smoothly.

 

Liz Harrington

Travelling Head Person and Racing Secretary 

Liz takes care of the day to day office work for me and she is in charge of overseeing all the horses going racing and attending racedays. 

 Racing is what she lives for.

 

Georgina Murgatroyd

Head Girl

Georgie joined me in the summer of 2011. Georgie works to a very high standard which is fantastic for me knowing that the staff care. She has a great deal of experience in the eventing and horse racing world. She is a great help to me and a hard-working team player. She has horses of her own who she regularly competes in her own time. Georgie is also in the office when she has time.

 

Maisie Bush

Head Girl

Maisie joined in the spring of 2016. She enjoys hunting and team chasing with her own horse when she gets the chance and also has shown ROR horses. She has a wide range of experience and skills including breaking-in, pre training and comes from a point to point background. Maisie has a real affection with Carole's Destrier and is a great asset to our yard.

    

Shannon Scrivens

Barn Leader

Shannon joined me in July 2014 after spending three months at the British Racing School in Newmarket. Shannon was brought up with ponies and is a keen and dedicated member of the team. She has recently taken on perfect Timing after he retired and plans to reschool him and do ROR activities on him.

 

 

 

Christie Revill

Barn Leader

Christie joined me from the Northern Racing College following the completion of her NVQ level 1 in race horse management. Her riding has improved drastically in the time she has been with us and she is a caring and considerate member of the team. She is a hard worker and quickly completed her NVQ level 2, before undertaking her level 3 which she is currently working towards. 

 

 

  

 

Millie Wonnacott

Barn Leader/Amateur Jockey

Millie joined the yard in September 2016 and has fitted in well. taking on the role of barn leader in 2017.

She has worked with horses from a young age and has a pony racing background, alongside a very successful career in showing and show jumping.

She has a couple of horses of her own to ride in point to points this season, Millie was lady novice champion for Devon and Cornwall for the 2017/2018 point to point season, Millie has now recently taken out her full amateur licence and is riding in ladies races for us.

 

Anna Small

Barn Leader

Anna joined the yard in late January 2017. She came to us after completing a three month course at the Northern Racing College as well as gaining her Level 3 Diploma in Equine Management. Anna is a hard working member of the team.

 

 

 

Harry Reed

Conditional Jockey

Harry joined us in January 2017. He has had plenty of race-riding experience and has fit in well with the other lads. He has been around horses from a very young age and has done plenty of hunting and pony-racing. He is a good addition to the team and his 7lbs claim will be a great asset to us this season.

 

 

 

 

Philip Donovan

Conditional Jockey

Phillip joined us in February 2017 and claims a valuable 7lbs. His father breeds a few mares and trains a few pointers so he has had experience helping out with those while growing up. He took out his apprentice licence and rode on the flat in Ireland for three seasons before coming to the UK and switching to the jumps, spending time with Fergal O'Brien before moving to us. In his spare time, Phil will regularly be seen with a snooker cue in hand or watching the hurling on TV.

 

 

Liam Harrison

Part-Time Work Rider/Amateur Jockey

Liam is the baby of the gang, He had great success with competitive racing ponies and rides to an extremely high standard.

He is a valued and trusted member of the team and a real horseman. He is very talented and we are all hoping that he is going to be a top jockey one day

Liam has now finished his GCSE'S and has completed his amateur course, Liam is available for rides and is looking forward to riding under all codes and getting a seasons point to pointing under his belt before hoping to turn conditional.

 

 

Billy Page

 2nd Travelling Lad

Billy has ridden since a young age, moving into racing from a mainly hunting background and being involved with the pony club. He holds an HGV licence and drives our lorry to the races - Billy is a great asset to the yard and he always has a smile on his face. 

 

 

Andriy Severin

Head Yard Man

Andriy has been with me since the first day I started training. He is a very experienced horseman and all of his experience has been on the yard. Andriy is a very conscientious worker and a very trustworthy man. Andriy will not leave a job until it is done properly.

 

 

Yuriy Oberemok

3rd Travelling Lad, yard and maintenance man

Yuriy helps muck out around the yard when needed and is very good with the handyman jobs. He is a great help and very useful to us all.

Yuri has also got his HGV licence and helps with driving the lorry and attending race meetings when he is required too.

 

 

James Paget

Stable Lad

James worked for me for several seasons before spending the summer of 2016 in Jersey where he had two rides on the flat. He recently returned to the yard and hopes to get more experience race-riding in the future. James has a particular affection with younger horses.

Dalpat Singh

Stable Lad

Dalpat joined in summer 2015 and has worked in racing since a young age. He has worked in several different countries, he loves to go racing with the horses he rides and is a reliable member of the team.

 

 

Daisy

Watts Hewson

Stable Lass

Daisy is new to the team and has fit in really well. She has two horses of her own at home and worked for an arab endurance yard for 3 years, before deciding she fancied getting involved in racing. Daisy works hard around the yard and is enjoying her transition to working with thoroughbreds. In her spare time she competes her younger horse in British dressage.

 

 

 

 

Alex John

Yard Man

Alex is a hard worker on the yard. He always has a smile on his face and is very polite and helpful. He works to a high standard and is very quick and efficient - he's a good member of the team.

 

Sara Maggi

Stable Lass

Sara joins us having obtained her level one at the Northern racing college and is currently working towards her level two. Sara has always been around horses and has a horse back in Italy. Sara has previously travelled across Europe as a Show Groom for an Irish showjumper. Sara has found her career path in racing from travelling in Australia where she was working for Emirates Park's throughbred stud and then their yearling team finally finishing her stint in Australia working in a flat yard. 

 

Chloe Eyers

 Stable Lass

Chloe comes into ride out and help around the yard at weekends and holidays while she completes her GCSE's at the moment, Chloe will be joining us full time when she leaves school this summer, she will be working towards her NVQ stages in Racehorse Care and Management while she is with us. Chloe has her own horses which she competes as well.

 Oleg Gavrysk

Yard Man

Oleg has joined the team in the spring of 2018 having previously had plenty of experience in flat racing, he has worked for Mark Johnson and Andrew Balding before joining us, he has a great love of racing and a great passion for the horses, he has very high standards and loves to go racing. he always has a smile on his face and a good bit of banter to go with it.

Aiden Weaver

Stable Lad

Aiden joins us in the summer of 2018, this is his first job in racing and indeed with horses, he was training to be a mechanic before the horse bug caught up with him. He has quickly settled into his role and is learning very fast. His love for horses is evident, and he is keen to immerse himself in racing and learn all he can.

Dayna Walsh

Stable Lass

Dayna joined us this season having worked for another south west racing yard. Dayna is a great help in the yard and has a lot of experience around horses and turns out the horses out very well and does a lot of the clipping for us. She is a great asset to the team.

 

 

Sophie Norejko

Stable Lass

Sophie joined the team in August 2016. She has lots of general riding experience and vast amount of horse care knowledge. Sophie is an asset to the team, she is great help with the clipping and mane-pulling when necessary. Sophie has been gifted John's Luck by his owners since his retirement, she is hoping to hunt and team chase him in her spare time. 

 

 

Joan Cousins

Part-Time Stable Lass

Joan has been with us for a couple of seasons, joining us from the stud she had worked at for over 20 years before it closed down due to the owners retiring. She has a plethora of experience from working with foals, to breaking horses in, completing pre-training and has also ridden in point to points. In her spare time, Joan loves socialising with friends and eating out and she is a vital member of the team.

Sam Ward

Part-Time Stable Lass

Sam joins us several days a week and brings a wealth of experience, having worked for several yards in the past. She has worked with breakers and been involved in pre-training as well as having experience hunting and showing. She only joins us part time as she has a young daughter and is busy running her sheep farm.
